2017 Del-Mi Firestone Competition

The "Iron Man" of Scouting! A Scouting skills competition with the prize being a chance to win a scholarship to a Crossroads of America Summer Camp!

THE FIRESTONE CERTIFICATE OF MERIT

By completing all requirements in the 2017 Firestone Application AND participating at the encampment practical you may qualify for the 2017 Firestone Certificate of Merit. Earning the Firestone Certificate of Merit may qualify you for:

• One full or partial scholarship for a week of summer camp at Ransburg or Krietenstein.
• Other awards that may be announced.

THE FIRESTONE AWARD

If you are the most outstanding Scout among those to receive the FIRESTONE CERTIFICATE OF MERIT you will receive the Firestone Award. The prize amount for this most outstanding Scout will be announced at the encampment practical. 

Rules of Eligibility 

1. The Scout must be under 18 years of age at the end of competition.
2. The Scout must be a registered, active member of a Boy Scout Troop in the Del-Mi District and participate regularly in all activities required for qualification. 
3. The Scout must declare his intention to compete by registering online at www.scoutingevent.com/160-DMfirestone no later than 11:59 pm, April 26, 2017.
4. The Scout may transfer from one Unit to another with in the Del-Mi District during the year of the competition.
5. The Scout must obtain the unit leader signature on the application and bring the application to the encampment practical held on April 29, 2017.
