Scouters / Adult Leaders
We are looking forward to the Del Mi District Fall Camporee at Camp Belzer, 6102 Boy Scout Rd, Lawrence, IN 46226 on Friday, October 27-Sunday, October 29, 2017. Thank you for letting T202 Carmel host and we hope each of you will put this event on your troop calendar
Most boys dream of being a spy at one time or another. Our scouts are excited to open the during this Camporee. I am particularly excited about tying the Camporee around the Scout principles of “Physically Strong, Mentally Awake and Morally Straight”.
We will be providing more details in the next few weeks but wanted to give you a preview of coming attractions. Things you can do now:
- Mark you troop calendar now for October 27-29, 2017 for
- Put the announcement topic on your next PLC
- Be on the lookout for the Camporee Details for youth leaders and for adult leaders around September 1st.
We are planning some Adult only activities including demonstration on how to build and use a “Box Oven”
There will also be a Outdoor Leadership Skills (OLS) class going that weekend for adults. Great way to introduce new leaders to scouting.
